Key Responsibilities

  • Write emotionally engaging and conversion-focused copy for fundraising campaigns, digital ads, landing pages, donor emails, and social media.
  • Create powerful headlines, hooks, CTAs, and campaign messaging that drive engagement, clicks, and donations.
  • Develop story-driven content around real beneficiaries, NGOs, and causes in a way that feels human, authentic, and trustworthy.
  • Collaborate with the design and video teams to script reels, campaign videos, testimonials, and short-form content.
  • Adapt campaign narratives into multiple formats including ad copy, banners, carousels, captions, WhatsApp communication, and performance creatives.
  • Maintain Donatekart’s tone of voice across all communication — empathetic, transparent, urgent, and impact-driven.
  • Brainstorm fresh campaign angles, storytelling formats, and creative hooks with the marketing team.
  • Understand audience behavior and platform trends to create content that improves engagement and conversion performance.
  • Conduct basic interviews with NGO partners, beneficiaries, or campaign stakeholders when needed to bring authenticity to stories.
  • Support product and retention teams with microcopy for app/web experiences, push notifications, email journeys, and WhatsApp automation.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 3+  years of experience in content writing, copywriting, digital marketing, or creative storytelling.
  • Strong ability to write clear, concise, emotionally compelling short-form content.
  • Excellent command over English with a good understanding of tone, pacing, storytelling, and persuasive writing.
  • Ability to simplify complex or sensitive stories into impactful and easy-to-understand communication.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with multiple campaigns and quick turnaround timelines.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset.
  • Attention to detail and ability to maintain consistency across platforms and formats.
